If you can dream it...
Celebrate the accomplishments of our students as they recognize their potential and honor those who have achieved remarkable goals against the odds.
Visit the Harlem Renaissance Poetry Cafe to hear our students recite the poetry of Langston Hughes, Gwendolyn Brooks, Robert Hayden, Sterling Brown, County Cullen, and Jean Toomer. Stroll through the halls looking at the posters that capture powerful quotations celebrating the theme of overcoming and persevering from novels our literature circles read. Be entertained as our choirs perform a mini concert in the gym, and there will be listen to wax museum figures throughout the building highlighting the accomplishments of many great African-Americans. Come and see the great things going on at McBride Middle School!
